Victorian Velvet Bulldog

| This enchanting Victorian velvet bulldog dates to around 1890/1900 and we have never seen another quite like him. He has been in a private collection for many, many years and comes in his hand-made box where he has always lived. The box contains a photo of a lady sewn in to the material underneath. The dog is in very good condition with black jewelled glass eyes and the box has wear to the lining but obviously has a story to tell! Every so often we are lucky enough to offer exquisite pieces like this for sale and it is always a pleasure to do so.
