Rare Large Strunz c1907

Rarely do we find Strunz bears in this large size and this old fellow has lots of charm. He has repairs to the head and muzzle which are very well done. There is much overall wear to the mohair but he remains in strong condition and wears his cute sailor jacket. Please enquire for more details and photographs of this dear old chap who measures a large 29" tall Wilhelm Strunz Wilhelm Strunz started business in 1904 in Nuremberg, one of the most famous traditional toy making regions of the country. Once again, many of the early bears produced were practically identical to the Steiff designs and even had a button in ear! After the intervention of Steiff, the rival company finally settled on stapling a tag to the ear of each soft toy.
