This rare antique American bear was made by the Miller Manufacturing Company around 1907. These teddies were made of worsted wool with a short nap and strong backing and were intended for children with allergies. They were only made for a short time between 1907-1908 and we have only handled a few over the years.
This cute chap is dressed as he came in his Steiff overalls and he has a sweet expression. There is overall wear and a small darned repair to one shoulder but he remains in strong condition. Ted is fully jointed and measures 10.5" tall - please enquire for more photos and details
