Lovely antique Billy Possum button c1909 measuring 1" in diameter. In 1908, William Taft became president of the USA. He was very partial to possum pie and manufactures all over were keen to create a successor of the Teddy Bear! However, "Billy Possum" was not as popular and only lasted for a short while.
